Dr. Fadi Hasan

[00:00:05.08] - Dr. Fadi Hasan I'm from Baghdad, Iraq, born and raised there. I actually grew up also in Dundee, Scotland, so I had a nice Scottish accent growing up. Finished dental school back in Iraq in 2007 and moved to the States in 2008. Got my dental degree again from University of Colorado Denver, and then we moved to Richmond for my residency and graduated with a master's in periodontics back in 2015, and then got become board certified in 2016, practicing in the northern Virginia area since 2015. [00:00:33.19] - Dr. Fadi Hasan The reason I went to the field of periodontics, funny story, is that actually it was my least favorite subject and actually really scored the worst grades in it during dental school. I actually got into a study club and got really intrigued into it. By the senior year of my dental school, I decided to do an externship for the perio at the University of Maryland. I just loved everything about it, how everything was more on the intricate side, the finesse, the details, the art aspect of it, which is really was captivating me since dentistry is literally all artistic in its nature, and the fact that it's surgery, so we get to do that part too. [00:01:08.15] - Dr. Fadi Hasan Since I got into it, it's honestly just been nothing but honestly passion. I love what I do about it. It's a hobby in addition to being a full time job for me. That's one of the reasons why I really went into it.
